Operating in the new normal

Adactus is a people-first employer. We put our people, employers and clients at the heart of every decision we make. Recently our MD, Scott Muncaster, has been taking part in a mentoring scheme set up by Graduate Mentor which has seen him provide advice and guidance to a number of mentees.

One of these mentor relationships, with Abhilash Joseph, has seen us embark on an exciting project to ensure Adactus is fit for the next normal as we learn to grow in a world affected by Covid-19.

Abhi joined us at the beginning of October as an intern, with the remit to deliver a strategy and set of recommendations to further improve the employee experience at Adactus. The project has seen him undertake extensive market research and interviews with business and HR leaders from the Tech sector. Abhi has also interviewed every member of the team to identify what makes Adactus special and how the culture can be further enhanced by incorporating the external research and elements that best fits the way we work.

We still have 4 weeks to run before we reach the conclusion of the project but, thanks to Abhi’s input, we already have a better understanding of how to leverage our USP approach to flexible working (more on this in 2022!) as well as how we can improve performance management and learning opportunities in a remote/hybrid world of work.

Abhi is completing his MBA at Aston University and his project with us forms the final part of his MBA programme. He brings a wealth of strategic HR experience from his time working with Oracle in India, and he is keen to apply his knowledge, skills and experience in the UK.

Will Cleare, our HR Consultant, says “It’s been great getting to know Abhi, and inspiring to see the progress he is making toward the people strategies and final set of recommendations. I look forward to working with Adactus to put his recommendations in place in 2022 and beyond. I want to thank Abhi, and wish him all the best with his MBA and beyond and look forward to watching his career grow here in the UK!”
