In the early noughties Adactus produced their first web platform after reviewing their current process and developed a platform that allowed search for 1,000’s of items to be logical and user friendly, offering a filtering platform. The platform allowed for opportunities to upsell that complimented the physical experience that the customer was used too.

At the time Groves emphasis was on big orders with the large retailers with 70% of orders coming from the large retailers and 30% from small – Adactus reviewed the current process and recommended an approach that allowed search for 1,000’s of items to be logical and user friendly , offering a filtering platform. The platform allowed for opportunities to upsell that complimented the physical experience that the customer was used too.

During the last few years Adactus and Groves has partnered further to make a dynamic shift to smaller retailers that Groves supply. Providing a dynamic platform that enhances the sales of older stock and introduce new products, increasing volume sales, improving the user journey and overall experience.

Our greatest achievement during this project was the ability to offer the client a better experience whilst offering the same Groves quality that they have always been used too. Driving change and continually improving the offering. A super-efficient bespoke platform offering ordering, payment and delivery within 24hrs via barcode scanning and computerised stock management.

An interesting development of this project is how the platform has adapted during the Covid-19 crisis, with a move to online for the majority of retailers, particularly small retailers. Groves has seen a shift in sales now with 30% of their business generated from the bigger retailers and 70% small retailers who had to adapt quickly to survive the change in buyer behaviour.
