Adactus trading with local business Groves for over a decade
20th March 2012
Adactus, one of the largest internet software development companies in the area, has just had its 10 year anniversary and is still trading with its very first customer Groves, based in Long Crendon. For over a decade these two local firms have continued to grow their strong working relationship.
Adactus, developed an eCommerce system for Groves as their very first project. Groves is one of the largest UK distributors of sewing accessories, needlecraft products and related gift ideas to the retail trade in UK and Europe. Adactus delivered an innovative easy-to-use online eCommerce ordering system allowing reordering of over 35,000 products for 2,500 retailers. This went on to receive a national DTI eCommerce award in 2004. Over the years Adactus has continued to enhance and grow the system and their business relationship is still a continuing success.
Andrew Groves Managing Director of Groves states; "We are delighted that with the help of Adactus we were able to launch our innovative eCommerce system and with reliable long term support, build it into the great success story that it is today."
Since developing this first project, Adactus has gone from strength to strength, dealing with local businesses as well as huge global companies such as Pizza Hut, Aviva and Whitbread. Adactus started with two people in 2001 and has now grown to employ over 35 people from the surrounding area.
When asked about the anniversary, Chris Hall, Managing Director of Adactus said, "We're delighted that our working relationship with Groves has continued to flourish. Our significant growth, as an established software development specialist has enabled us to employ many local people over the last ten years. We hope to continue this growth in the future. We're very keen to promote community spirit and this year we've entered an Adactus team into the London to Brighton Bike Ride to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, and training is already underway!"
